We were the painters on a body corporate repaint of eight townhouses at 24 Oliva Street, Palm Cove, with a full external wash down first. The whole complex was finished in two weeks. The external painted surfaces went on in Dulux Weathershield, a paint made for exposed exterior walls, and the cedar work doors were stained with Intergrain instead of painted, so the timber grain still shows. Sanding was done with our Festool equipment. Coastal strata complexes like this cop salt air and wet season humidity year round, and washing down before any coating goes on is what lets the paint grip a clean surface.
